Red Bull’s Max Verstappen finished top in FP1. Now we’re heading to the streets of Baku for FP2.

The majority of the drivers are on yellow medium tyres. Yet, Alonso and Vettel are on white hard tyres.

Mercedes are not dominating this time. The wind is causing many problems for drivers. Tyres are not cooperating either. The track temperature is 46°C. How will drivers manage this time? Pierre Gasly is doing fine with his form.

Turn 15 and Turn 16 are going to be a problem. The strong winds are picking up.

The Dutchman is in P2 though with a 1m 43.368s. He’s one-tenth slower than Pierre Gasly.

Then red flags are out as the marshals swiftly and safely remove Williams debris. Latifi missed the corner and heads into the barrier. All the drivers head to the pits.

Soon enough green light and we’re back underway. A few minutes later, Tsunoda goes straight into Turn 2.

Sainz surprised on soft tyres crossing the line first with a 1:42.243s. Leclerc remains second. Schumacher experiences an oil pressure issue. Red flag. The session stops.

Giovinazzi goes flying into first. Ferrari is not out in front anymore. Bottas bares it all on the radio.

All clear for Leclerc. The front wing is replaced and he’s ready to race. Schumacher completed one timed lap on the soft compound.

The Silver Arrows are not in the top 10. AlphaTauri and Alpine are levelling up. Even Alfa Romeo is improving.

Again, Tsunoda’s session is having a moment at Turn 2. Bottas spins at Turn 1 as his rear tyres appear to be gone. What is going on today?

Many drivers are switching to medium tyres towards the closing stages of the practice.
