American Formula 3 driver, Logan Sargeant, has joined the Williams Driver Academy as part of a “long-term agreement” where he will be immersed in the team, both in the factory and on the track.
The 20-year-old driver finished his third year in Formula Three, and finished seventh overall in the championship. Sargeant achieved four podiums, including a victory in Sochi, and has said he is “extremely grateful for the opportunity“ that Williams Driver Academy has given him.
“I am incredibly pleased to welcome Logan to the Williams Racing Driver Academy. He’s demonstrated his talent in FIA Formula 3, consistently delivering strong results in an extremely competitive field.”
Sargeant is “really excited” to work with the team in a role that will include simulator work focusing on car development. He will be joining W Series defending champion Jamie Chadwick, Williams reserve driver Jack Aitken and also Roy Nissany.
