The 20-year-old driver finished his third year in Formula Three, and finished seventh overall in the championship. Sargeant achieved four podiums, including a victory in Sochi, and has said he is extremely grateful for the opportunity that Williams Driver Academy has given him.

CEO Jost Capito has spoken about the young talent joining the academy:

“I am incredibly pleased to welcome Logan to the Williams Racing Driver Academy. He’s demonstrated his talent in FIA Formula 3, consistently delivering strong results in an extremely competitive field.”

Sargeant is “really excited” to work with the team in a role that will include simulator work focusing on car development. He will be joining W Series defending champion Jamie Chadwick, Williams reserve driver Jack Aitken and also Roy Nissany.
