It has become a tradition for the Scuderia to sport a special livery at their home circuit of Monza, and according to reports, this year is no exception.

However, the iconic team’s particular livery that is expected to feature at the Italian Grand Prix will pay homage to Ferrari’s World Endurance Championship (WEC) racing team that won the 24 Hours of Le Mans this year.

After remaining absent from the longest race in the world for 50 years, the Prancing Horse made their return in 2023, with Alessandro Pier Guidi, James Calado, and Antonio Giovinazzi leading Ferrari to victory.

The SF23 and 499P Collaboration

The SF23 is expected to feature some yellow on the car, similar to last year’s livery at Monza on Ferrari’s F1-75 back in 2022. However, this design will be more special according to Italian Journalist Giuliano Duchessa from, who originally reported on this, as the Scuderia are to honour their 499P’s victory at the Italian Grand Prix.

For now, we don’t know exactly how the car will look. But it is likely that this distinct livery will be revealed nearer to the date of the race weekend, which commences from the 1st-3rd September.

Despite this exciting news for the team, on a more serious note, Ferrari’s Team Principal Frederic Vasseur has stated recently that he “doesn’t have a clear picture of the perfect Ferrari structure” as of yet.

Ferrari currently sit in fourth in the Constructors’ Championship, as they now trail Aston Martin by only five points after Charles Leclerc claimed the team’s third podium of the season just before the summer break at the Belgian Grand Prix.

With Ferrari having had an underwhelming 2023 campaign so far, Vasseur and the team will be hoping that they can bounce back sooner rather than later and that their special livery can bring the Tifosi some luck when it debuts at their home Grand Prix next month.
