For the Pirelli test, nine of the ten teams will be using two-year-old ‘mule’ cars.

The Young drivers include IndyCar driver Pato O’Ward (McLaren), F2 Champion Oscar Piastri (Alpine) and new Alfa Romeo driver Guanyu Zhou.

Amongst the current drivers featuring in these two days of testing, is the newly crowned World Champion Max Verstappen.

Six of the teams will be running their current driver line up, with all these teams sticking with the same duo for 2022. These teams are Alpine, Alpha Tauri, Aston Martin, Ferrari, McLaren and Red Bull.

Meanwhile, Valterri Bottas will be making his Alfa Romeo debut, and Pietro Fittipaldi will be taking over from Nikita Mazepin. Mazepin was due to drive in the test alongside Mick Schumacher and Robert Schwartzman until he tested positive for COVID.

Schwartzman will also be driving the Ferrari, after he finished as runner-up in F2 behind Piastri. Also appearing for Ferrari is simulator driver Antonio Fuoco.

Red Bull Junior driver Liam Lawson will be appearing next to the 2021 and 2022 Alpha Tauri drivers.

Mercedes have Formula-E Champion Nick de Vries driving in this test for the second year in a row. George Russell will then begin his full-time drive with the team in the Pirelli test.

Before new World Champion Verstappen and teammate Sergio Perez jump in the Red Bull, sixth place finisher in F2 this season, Juri Vips will get his second opportunity at this test with the team.
